Seiko Momotaro
Information about the watch:
Although often called a "pocket watch," the Seiko Momotaro is a medallion watch . It was designed to be slipped into an obi (the kimono sash) or worn as a pendant. Today, it can be used as a pocket watch, on a table or desk, or even as a decorative object.
Its compact octagonal case opens like a powder compact thanks to a small push-button notch that reveals a second compartment inside. The exterior walls are usually decorated with Chokin , a traditional Japanese metal engraving art.
Today it is a prized piece among collectors for its unique blend of horology and traditional Japanese craftsmanship from the Showa era.
